My memories of Doreen were at the Sycamore girls school where she taught music. When I first knew her  she was Miss Baines.  (She married in April 1943).  So you will realise it was 78 years ago but lovely school days in spite of the war being on.  A long while ago now since the war days.

I remember when she left and had the baby I on occasion used to take him for a stroll in the pram.  (That will have been Stephen) They  lived on Moore Road Mapperley at that time.

I had seen Doreen now and again when they lived on Breckhill Road and when she moved to Sherwood.

I still live in Mapperley with my husband John, Just round the corner from 114 Moore Road.
I am getting on a bit myself now. but I still remember how nice a person my teacher was.
