Sitting next to Sister Doreen at Nottingham Christadelphians

I found sitting in the meetings with young children a bit of a challenge, worrying that I'd upset people etc.  I was very near the front but I was invited to sit with Sister Doreen.

Sister Doreen always had a positive word to say about it and encouraged me so much and told me that I was doing a good job. not to worry so much and we talked about being like Jesus - how he loved the children too and enjoyed looking over them.

Sister Doreen always made an effort to speak afterwards too and we chatted about the exhortation and life in general to encourage one another.  We also talked about God's coming Kingdom and the wonderful hope we have.

I also felt included when others came to speak with Sister Doreen, I got to know more people through her too.

One of the last things Sister Doreen said to me is don't worry about the few people who might have something unkind to say, instead think of all those people in the room today who would love to speak to you too but just don't get a chance to.

I will always treasure these moments I had with Sister Doreen, she was an inspiration to me as a Sister in Christ and I learnt so much from her.

Romans 8 v 28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
